If i wanted to ask a jewish mother something a bit personal what would be the best way to go about it?

the sort of things i was thinking about is how many children she had or why she wore a sheital and what it is like to wear.

my thinking was asking with words like (in a causal and curious way) something like do you have any other children or something to that effect|||The Jewish women wear a Sheitel after they marry. It's like a net bag that they slip over their hair. Or they wear a scarf or a wig over their natural hair. Reminds one of a Catholic Nuns head gear.

It's from some old testament law to oppress women, just as most biblical laws are.

Like a the sight of a womans hair is going to drive men wild and tempt her away from her husband into a life of adultery and depravity.

Either that, or the men think a woman is going to spend the whole day gazing in rapturous vanity at her own hair in the mirror and neglect all other aspects of her life.

If you ask her about wearing a Sheitel , she will probably tell you that it's customary for Orthodox Jewish women to cover their hair out of respect for their husbands.

If you want to know how many children she had, just ask, "How many children do you have? Please, tell me about them". What parent doesn't like to talk about their kids?|||DON'T start the question with "hey- yo *****, got a question-"

They tend to frown upon that.|||If you're doing this as some sort of research project for class or for a book you want to write, then be up front with anyone you question. Otherwise, butt out of their private affairs if you're only asking out of curiosity. If they want you to know something, they'll tell you!! : /|||OK|||not to be mean..do we have to be circumsize...|||Go into a jewish chat room %26amp; let the room know you have a few questions you'd like answers to but not sure how to ask. Then ask if you can ask the question %26amp; if anyone is willing to answer they can do so knowing you're not trying to disrespect anyone.|||Ask her if her nose looks so big and hooked and crooked because of a birth defect? Tell her getting a nose job, would help her self esteem. Ask her if her father was ever raped by a moslem arab in mecca just on top of where the pedophile moe-ham-mad (pronounced muhammmed) is buried with his favorite pig. This will break the ice and she may break your face.|||Those questions are normal to ask anyone... Just ask the same way you would ask any other woman,,,

It wouldn't offend me if you asked me those questions...

I am a Jewish mother...
