Can meth be transfered through body sweat or skin and effect a child?

if a child

comes in causal contact with someone high on meth is there any worry the could could assorb it into there system enough to so symptons|||The chances are very minimal that a child would through the skin absorb methamphetamine, but, in theory, it is possible. It's not something you need to worry about. Your (or whomever's) child is not in danger of testing positive. However, it is most assuredly a danger for a child to be around persons using meth. Methamphetamine affects the judgment of users, and their temperament. If your child is in the company of meth users who are currently high, he/she is in danger. If this is your child you should take action immediately:

1) Don't use when you're around your children (and realize that when you are recovering from use you are useless as a parent as well).

2) Don't let users who you know use around children (be they yours or the children of others).

3) If you are using and are a parent, seek a support or 12-step group IMMEDIATELY. I'm an alcoholic and attend AA. AA is not for drug users specifically but if you can't find an NA meeting in your area I strongly suggest you seek out an AA meeting....additionally, if you are not the user, I suggest seeking 12-step help for whomever the user it is to whom you refer.

To review: it's not the absorbtion of meth through the skin that you need to worry about (though that would be horrible), it's the competence of the persons surrounding the child to behave responsibly as caretakers for him/her while using and/or recovering from use that is the issue. Seek help, both for your safety and for the safety and growth of your child. It's in your hands.|||Why the hell are you putting a child anywhere near a meth user? That;s just stupid on so many levels that the fact that he/she WILL absorb it through the skin is the least of your worries.

And what is causal contact? I know what casual contact is....
