I have been with her for over a year and I lover her to death but everytime she goes on her period we get in a huge fight over nothing. Our relationship is very stable and good everyday she isn't on it but when she goes on it she becomes another person. There is definitely a causal effect here as it has happened 4-5 times now. The most recent she blew up at me because I wouldn't tell her my ideas for Christmas gifts for her. She wouldn't talk to me all day because I made a sly comment that I would neve tell her till Christmas. I guess that was enough to set her off.
She even knows she is like this on her periods because I have talked to her about it and asked her why she does this. She says she doesn't know, and I ask her to try and be nice to me but she says she'll try and it never seems to work. I do everythign in my power to try and stop a fight and to the point i even tell her lets not fight over this its so dumb and I tell her she has the power to end it. Yet she keeps it going to the point where I feel like she can't even control what she is doing.
Anyways... From a girls perspective what more can I do?? I love her and try so hard to be good to her. I feel like I don't deserve to deal with this for no good reason other than her hormones are making her crazy.|||I can say I definitely get like this with my boyfriend, poor guy. I get really emotional and verrrry mean. All I can say is be nice and comfort her, trust me you have no idea what it's like to be a girl.|||After being married for a while, all I can tell you is that she can't help it, so sometimes it's just best to shut up and leave the room.|||buy her everything she wants............starting with tampons and a bottle of midol! haha|||I know you don't know why she flips out and it seems to happen over little things that don't affect her when she's not on her period, but when she is on it try and be extra nice to her maybe bring her tylenol or comfort foods if she seems to be down. You probably don't what to hear this and it may sound like girls are needy but I personally get really mean and kind of bitter during my period but all i really want it support from someone close. So next time she has her period try and be nothing but supportive and nice to her, I know I'd want that if i was feeling down from PMS. Good luck!
